Portraits

How do we contact you and where are you located?

You can contact us by phone, email or by calling into our studio, you will find all the necessary details here.

When is the studio open and on what days & times?

We take portraits Fridays and Saturdays and by appointment, so if you are looking for a particular time and day then we suggest you book 2-3 weeks in advance just to be sure to get a time that suits you.

Studio hours are 9.30am - 1pm & 2pm - 5.30pm. We are also closed on Public Holidays.

Our studio operates by appointment only; please contact us in advance to make an appointment for your photography requirements.

How far in advance do we need to book our portrait session?

Each sitting is arranged after careful discussion and is tailored to suit individual requirements.

What's the best age to bring babies in to be photographed?

The age at we start photographing is when the baby is 3 to 4 months old, or as soon as it has a little bit of strength in their neck.

What shall we wear for our family portraits?

Clothing is purposely kept dark to maximize the impact of the image as your attention will be drawn immediately to the subject's faces. It's important that clothing choice compliment and not distract from the overall balance and focus of the image. Avoid strong patterns and logos or branding on clothing, as this tends to date.

Try to layer your clothing, to add texture and life to the picture...like plain t-shirts with perhaps a shirt or sweater also. Try to bring a few different accessories like hats, scarfs and blankets with texture for new-borns or young babies. If you or your child has an interest or hobby, it might be nice for you to include this in your session like rugby shirts and ball, or skateboard, guitar etc., as it makes this session completely unique to your family.

What does a portrait session with you involve?

We offer a pre-portrait consultation, where we discuss the style of portrait that you would like and we also can advise you on what would work best.

In each portrait session we will take various combinations of family and individual images, to allow you a greater choice at your viewing session.

What is the normal turnaround time to see our images after a portrait session and how do I order?

The standard turnaround time for portrait sessions is 3 to 7 days. As we work by appointment only, we normally make an appointment at the time of your portrait session for you to come back in and view the images on our state-of-the art viewing system.

During your viewing session we will not only show you your images, but we shall also go through the various framing options that you can get, we will help you choose the perfect combinations for your home and go through our pricing also. Once you place the order the turnaround time for framed images is 5 to 6 weeks. We normally require full payment before each order is placed. An instalment option can also be arranged for your convinience.

Do you supply prints or digital files?

In order to ensure the highest quality possible, we only supply framed images; we do not supply digital files from portrait sessions.

Weddings

How far in advance should we reserve our wedding date and is there a deposit due?

You should reserve your date as soon as possible as 2024/2025 bookings are already underway. It's completely random though, some people book 2 years in advance, and I've also photographed weddings with as little as 2 weeks' notice!

Also, I have to maintain a first come first serve policy. Wedding dates are not reserved until the deposit is received, and a contract is signed.

Do you travel, and is there a travel fee?

Yes, I travel and I have photographed weddings nationwide.

There is a travel fee if the wedding is outside a 30-mile radius of Limerick City, but my travel fees are very reasonable.

What style of Photography do you do?

My number one focus is on capturing unscripted moments of your wedding day, but I also understand the value of having some formal photos of the important people in your life. Most of my clients want a generous mixture of formals in a combination of formal and a posed "informal" style.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact us by phone or email.
