Ken Doherty – Faces of Ireland Archive
August 1st, 2026We recently had the pleasure of photographing Irish snooker world champion Ken Doherty as part of the Faces of Ireland Archive.
Following the success of Faces of Limerick, the Faces of Ireland Archive is an ambitious long-term portrait collection documenting the people who have shaped, and continue to shape, Ireland through their achievements, contributions and influence.
Ken recently retired from the main professional snooker tour after an outstanding 36-year career. We wish him every continued success on the World Seniors Tour and in his exhibition matches.
Alongside his playing career, Ken has also become one of the sport's most respected commentators and pundits, regularly appearing on the BBC's snooker coverage.
It was a privilege to spend time with Ken, and we look forward to sharing more portraits from the Faces of Ireland Archive over the coming months.
